Milford Haven Port Authority is responsible for the biggest port in Wales, and the third largest in the UK. During 2010, the Port handled over 65m gross tons of shipping which amounted to nearly 43m tones of cargo. With 25 per cent of the UK's petrol and diesel provisions as well as up to 30 per cent of the UK’s gas requirements being handled through the Port's waterways, Milford Haven is at the Centre of a developing UK energy hub.
In 2010, Milford Haven Port Authority delivered £735,000 of support for community projects. Among the many organizations they have provided funding for are the Sunderland Trust, Pembrokeshire Foster Carers Association, Hubberston Youth Centre, Welsh Sailing Venture and Safer Pembrokeshire.
South Hook LNG have played a huge part in the refurbishment of our new commercial kitchen. They very kindly funded to the value of 7000 pounds so we could update the kitchen to a fully stainless steel kitchen with full extractor fan and gas safety system. The money also went towards replacing the old outdated crockery and cutlery.
